Guess where I went last night?

El Cerdo, in KL.

It serves all things pork! :D
In fact, if you squint really hard, you'll see that the sign says Porkielicious! =p

Me: Porka Lisa!
Jing: Piggie Lisa!
Teeny: Mona Li-Pig!

Eh, we are not part of the piggy assortment k. -_-

I was snapping pictures, and I did a double take at this woman at the next table...

I thought she wasn't wearing pants, hahaha!

Complimentary soup, tomato and vegetable, and a tangy hint of bacon and ham. :)

Our starter, pork wrap, fried to perfection, with avocado and chili dips.

I wasn't particularly sure of the exact names of all the dishes that we ordered, 'cause I was too busy doing...

.. this.

Our first main course-- deep fried pork trotter!

A super humongous trotter, I might add. Well worth its RM50++ price tag.

Really really good. Though it's probably not really an adventurous dish though.

Grilled soft ribs.

This was exceptionally delicious, however, certain parts of the ribs were a little too dry. And because it's soft ribs, you tend to take huge bites, only to realise you are munching on soft bones (tastes like tough tendons). My dad who has tried the grilled ribs (ie., normal ribs), said it's much better.

This is proof that all the younger generation of the Hoe family are extreme camwhores.
Look at how camera-sensitive my brother is!

And our final main course was a roasted piglet! T_T
Sounds so cruel, but honestly, I was looking forward to this dish the whole night.
Peer pressure! 'Cause everyone in the restaurant orders this dish. ;)

Firstly, you cut it with plates-- that's how tender it is!

The, you have to throw the plate and break it!!!

It supposedly brings on good luck, and apparently, if the plate doesn't break, you're in for some bad luck!

Broken! :D

It's not in anyway to say that every few minutes you could hear the sounds of plates breaking and shattering in the restaurant. And the whole atmosphere in El Cerdo is just so FUN. Patrons at other tables will actually cheer you on when it's your turn to break the plate. This customer actually broke a plate while cutting the meat, and the nearby tables erupted into mixed boos and applause. :P

And, there was this guy who celebrated his birthday there, and the whole crew came out and sang "Happy Birthday" to him-- a new rendition! It goes, "Happy birthday, to you! *oink oink* Happy birthday, to you! *oink oink*..." Damn entertaining. =)

Our suckling pig all cut up.

The tiny leg of the piglet. T_T

But oh my goodness, it was SO GOOD! I swear to god, it is the most tender meat I have ever eaten! Jing and I were just murmuring "Best pig, best pig.." while chewing on our crispy pieces. :P

See how much my dad enjoyed it, haha.

And they also gave us complimentary shots, how cool is that! :D

But my brother only got orange juice, teehee.

Cheersss!

And bottoms up. :D

Verdict on El Cerdo: It's definitely a place you HAVE to visit, at least once. :) Food is good, service is great, atmosphere is excellent; however, the place is always packed, and it's probably wise to make a booking before you head down. And try to avoid weekends too, 'cause it's always full house then! :)

And this is my stupid brother who said that I look like Voldemort.

With hair.
