In Da Flat.

So, today is my second day in Melbourne.

And I have already bought 2 pairs of shorts.
But it was on sale!

It's kind of mind-boggling that I fell right back into the rhythm. The long walks, the 3 hour difference, the cold weather (YES, it's summer, and it's COLD here!!!). Everything felt familiar.

Moved into our flat yesterday; the living room is much smaller than I expected (and wanted), but I am pretty pleased. It's bare and miserable-looking, but it's quite sizeable, and I know with a little TLC (Tendel Loving Care/ Creativity), it would be homely and cozy.

Which lead to my purchase of the day...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Pastel pink, florals, polka dots-- girly galore!

It's a teeny weeny feminine for my liking, but I was really desperate for pillows/bedsheet/ quilt cover. Yes, the very smart me neglected to bring along some bedspreads.

Hello, can bring a few more tops, can? ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It comes with lace too!

So far, my room's condition is BATTLE-ZONE. I have unpacked most of my suitcase, but I still have the things I left in Melbourne last semester to unpack. That's about 7 boxes/bags of stuff.

But overall, all is good. :)

I miss the boyfriend and my sisters badly, but sending 3-smses-long-per-sms to-and-fro with them have kept me sane. And happy.

Jing was so sweet, on the day I left, she brought a lump, turned out it was the tunic that I have been wanting forever, but which was sold out!!!

Super duper romantic. <3

Thank you, sweetie. :)

For my own savoring purposes, here are some pics taken before I left.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My darlings.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

The boyfriend and I went to Manhattan Fish Market in the first day of his work.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
He was flaming our prawns!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Fisherman Platter for two.
Don't be cheated by the prawns! Those are not cheese, it's mayoinnase! :(

I used to adore Manhattan Fish Market's food, but I feel that the standard of the food has dropped.

The garlic rice is still yummy, albeit a little cold.

But the deep fried oysters were smashing! I love deep fried oysters!! :D

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My man of a boyfriend ('cause working already mah).

Aww shucks, now I miss them more. :(

I have changed back my layout 'cause my new layout was screwing up-- I couldn't view my blog! :(

When I first got back, while I was sprawled on your lap, you asked me, "Will you cry when I send you off in the airport the next time?"

I very definitively and bravely said no.

Why? You asked me.
I said it's ' 'cause I would be prepared for what's awaiting me in Melbourne, and also 'cause I know what to expect of a long distance relationship.

I lied.

The tears spill out so easily with the thought of being apart from you.

I hate goodbyes.

I saw my boyfriend just now.

It may very well be the last time I see him before I fly off tomorrow.

Unless the gods stay on my side, and he doesn't have to work overtime or anything shit like that in the evening.
I feel selfish, but it would matter to me if he can send me off.

But I am in a dilemma.
Not able to see him tomorrow?
Or to go though the heartache of saying goodbye all over again.

What if I am not strong enough?

Sunday, February 25, 2007

Be strong.

I was with the boyfriend in the car, and Muse's "Hysteria" was playing in the radio.

You know the "Woo-ooo-oo-ooo-oo" part?

The boyfriend was wailing on top of his lungs in sync with the song.

I looked at him with my best raised-eyebrow look.

He turned to me, and asked me cheekily,

"Are you amused with my Muse?"

Oh. My. God.

I have finally hauled my butt to packing, and Lord save me.

How the hell am I going to bring everything back???

Today at the bak kut teh session with my friends, I confessed that I have plans to bring 10 pairs of shoes back to Melbourne.
Everyone at the table gave me o_O looks.

Why do you need so many pairs of shoes for? The booyfriend asked.
Tsk tsk, boyfriend also tak kenal me.

Duh! I said.
There are so many colors in this world, and even if I stick to the basic colors, we have white, black, red, blue, purple, pink, green...
And let's not even go into metallics.
If I were to match my outfits, 10 pairs of shoes is pretty reasonable, don't you think?

And shoes at Melbourne are really, really expensive.
I could buy 3 pairs of shoes with the price of one back home.

So, I am pretty rational, I think.

But holly shit, I have NO SPACE! And the fear of breaching the weight limit.

After piling everything that I want to bring over on my bed, I realised that I needed a suitcase as big as my bed, for every inch of my bed was covered.
I had piles categorised into cardigans, jackets, shorts, jeans, skirts, casual tops, dresses, jumpers, to name a few.

So fine, I became firm.
I had to streamline further my selection, therefore, I told myself, I would not bring anything that I have worn before.

But even that didn't help!!

And don't get me started on accessories.
I can't live without my necklaces and earrings and headbands and sashes.

And my collection of belts that I want to bring over.
I was complaining to Smalls just now that I probably have enough to loop around the globe.

And the irony is, I bought things in M'sia, which I intentionally bought to wear in Melbourne, and now I have to leave them behind!!!

I. Can't. Bear. It.

God, give me strength.
Let me be strong. Let me have the courage and perseverance to go through with my elimination process.
Shed me light. Let me SEE which have to go, and which have to stay.

Else, make all my clothes feather light, and the insides of my suitcase to be like Harry Potter's Ministry of Magic's cars whereby inside, it's as spacious as a house.

Pent-up release.

You know every single fiber of yours is itching to club the night away when you grind against your car seat when ABBA's "Dancing Queen" came on the radio.

Or when you twitch eagerly to music videos that you came across while channel-surfing on
Astro, much to the horror of your younger brother.

Or when you blare your handphone's MP3s loudly when you're alone in your room, and dance to

I love Fergilious, by the way. ;)

And FINALLY, I am seeking relief tomorrow!

See you at Maison tomorrow! :)

I just realized that I am a tad obssessive.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Houndtooth print.
Can you spot my houndtooth button earrings? ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My button earrings' craze. And this is excluding earrings that my sister has borrowed that I couldn't find.
And spot the lonesome earring, which I lost the other side! :(

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Again, excluding 2-3 red polka-dotted tops I left in Melbourne, and red polka-dotted stuff of my sister and my mom.
And don't even let me get started on other colors' polka dotted items! o_O

Crazy lar me.
And I wanted to take a picture of all the shoes that I have bought since I came back from Melbourne, but I couldn't find 3 (or more? I don't remember what I bought. -_-) pairs of shoes!!!

After climbing left and right and running up and down (yea, we keep our shoes upstairs too), I managed to find 2 pairs, but the other pair seems to be lost forever. :(

Need to ask my maid tomorrow. I am only afraid that I forgot to bring it back from Singapore! Fuck, and I haven't even worn the shoes yet!

Angry angry angry.

So no pictures of my shoes because we (the shoes and I) are in mourning wtf.

Shopping today again. The money in my sisters' ang paos were screaming "Let me out! Let me out!"

I was more disciplined. I went to OU with the sole purpose of getting something for my boyfriend, a gift to congratulate him,'cause he's starting work tomorrow!!! :)

I got him a tie, which he loved! I was so happy, 'cause it is so freaking RARE that we share the same taste in clothes-- I am relatively adventurous/funky/colorful/loud, whereas he is an epitome of the word conservationist. He always gives me the raised-eyebrow look whenever we shop together, pffft.

But I got him a bold stripey tie with classy colors! And these were his exact words: "I LOVE IT!"

Nguek nguek nguek, I am such a wonderful girlfriend.

Btw, I got one top and a belt for myself. ;)

In Forever21.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
We were discussing where to go for our lunch.
We were so hungry, hence the garang looks.

Just posting nonsensical, self-indulgent pictures in Secret Recipe, 'cause after I go back to Melbourne, I'll be without my best camwhoring kaki.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Please try the Australian Cheese Fries in Secret Recipe!!! Soooooo good.
Why don't have this dish in Melbourne wan. :(

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Teeny was grouchy 'cause I took her picture.
I think it's 'cause she didn't have make up on! ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My White Caramel Iced Mocha.

I have been ordering drinks very often whenever I eat out nowadays, 'cause my logic is, when I go back to Aussie, the prices of the drinks will be 3 timesfold ('cause it's dollar for dollar). :P

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Can you see the faint hint of a tummy??!!!
Darn CNY.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And heehee, both Jing and I were wearing babydoll tops-- I wore shorts underneath, while Jing had on a miniskirt-- so we both looked like we didn't have any bottoms on!

Fashion fiasco lar us. ;D

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I had on a gold unicorn necklace, please take note, it's not the sale stock from Diva k!!! :(
I got it from Japan. *strokes the unicorn charm protectively*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The camera loves me.
That's why it cuts Jing off.

In Topshop.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Both of us had the same jumper/smock top on!

Teeny got hers already.
I think I am going back to get it soon. ;)

And wow, I am dating a GROWN-UP MAN already!!!

I am going to be one of those young girls in college dating a sugardaddy, wahaha. *self-delusional, thinks self still very young*

Baby, work hard hard k.

I'll send you the Chanel catalogue soon.

Pictures from Jing's birthday's eve a.k.a. The Puking Episode...

Before leaving the house...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We were already running late, but yet, we had to take some pictures before leaving. -_-

And beyond this, are all pictures of Jing and I!!! Teeny was too busy playing with her new Sony Ericsson handphone.

Or maybe we are just bigger camwhores, hah.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Birthday girl and I.

And I was the one who drove to Luna Bar, being personally coached by the boyfriend the night before (i.e, trial drive to and fro with him in the passenger seat)...

... And still I managed to get lost.

Somemore it was raining heavily that night, so it was even more panicking for me. When I realised I was lost, I called him in a frenzy.

When he asked me where I was...
"I don't know! KL!??"

Then he asked me for any landmarks that I saw...
"Er.. Buildings! Very tall wan! Um, got a bank!"

Hee. My boyfriend has the patience of a saint. :)

But alas, I managed to get us safe and sound at our point of destination. *beams with pride*

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Luna Bar.

It was my first time at Luna actually, as all my previous attempts at planning a Luna outing have failed. As there were only the three of us, we were offered a cozy corner (two big sofas for 3 of us, yo!), though we would have much preferred the poolside seats.

We had dinner first, then drinks after. :)

Oh, and we ordered a cocktail called the Space Cookie! Or something to that effect. I can never resist anything with cookies!

It tasted like oreo shake! With a faint hint of alcohol. I guess as far as alcoholic drinks go, it was pretty tasty. :)

And I have something to confess... I am not a big fan of alocohol. Hmm, how do I explain it. More accurately, I do not like the taste of alcohol. I am those who when orders cocktails, pores over the menu for extremely girly/fruity drinks, to minimise the alcohol taste. I do like the effects of alcohol though (in moderation), therefore, to be honest, I prefer shots, whereby I can just down the liquor fast and easy and get happy-drunk instantly! ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
And the cocktail was freaking HUGE!

And we started playing with whipped cream...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We easily took 4 or 5 shots, much to the amusement of the ongoing waiters. ;)

And I took a picture with a sign that said "Luna Bar", and Teeny told me that she wants to photoshopped away the "Bar", and add the words "TIC" to it. -_-

As it was the eve to CNY eve, Luna Bar was relatively quiet. Soon, we were running around to different seats to take photos. :P

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I felt like a geisha, heheh.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Erm, sky!

And due to my entirely impulsive shopping ways, I did not try on the dress I've had on during the night, which lead to the fact that I failed to notice that the sleeves were too big for me. Which lead to the fact that I felt like I was an extra in Gladiator the whole night.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Gladiator me.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And I found a a new good angle! We were simply contorting our bodies for new ways to take pictures, and I found out that when I turn around for pics, I don't look half-bad. ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Dipping in the pool!

And at the strike of midnight, we had Jing taking on a Flaming Lamborghini! Hello, 18 wor, of course must start with a bang!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
She already looked drunk. -_-

And after that, when the waiter found out that today was her birthday, he made her a Waterfall, on the house!

Which was why Jing ended up vomiting in the car.

In the car.
Jing (passenger seat): "I wanna vomit."
Me (driving): "Whaaa...."
Jing: *proceeds to vomit pools of stuff with me talking mid-breath and looking at her sideways in horror*

Let's not talk 'bout depressing stuff anymore.

Picture of all three of us together! :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I actually took some pictures of Luna Bar, but I decided not to post them up, as anyone who hasn't been to Luna Bar before deserves to witness the bar in awe with his or her own eyes. :)

Pictures from the next morning (Jing's official birthday), breakfast at Paddington's House of Pancakes, before Jing went out with her friends.

Teeny was an utter traitor, 'cause she ffk-ed us to meet her best friend who was back from National Service.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
You can see both of our drinks here, Jing (weight-conscious, cheapskate): plain water; and me (caffeine-conscious): cappuccino.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Us, doing the "Bunny".

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Ooook, I just realized she does it in every picture. o_O

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Picture taken from Luna Bar.

One day I will know my way around KL. :)

I am feeling very sad and melancholic now. I have exactly one week before I leave for Melbourne once more. In fact, less than a week, since it's already Tuesday now.

I have the same feeling as the last time, right before I left. That panicked feeling, feeling that time is slipping through my fingers, feeling that I have to race against time, that I have to do as much as I can. The twangs of nolstagia in whatever I do, the sentimental choked-up emotions rushing over me like a sudden heat-wave.

And everytime I am with him, my overdrive brain just thinks that "Oh my god, soon I won't be with him."

People tell me that 4 months plus will fly.
He tells me that.
Heck, even I tell myself that.

But you see.

I don't want to be apart in the first place.

Happy CNY: The bitches' edition.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And look at a funky ang pao I got today!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Tissue packet cover at first glance...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Luckily got money! Wahaha!

And meet Britney Spears...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

My aunt's dog!
It's really called Britney Spears...

I always knew she was kinda a bitch, nyeheks! ;)

And another canine encounter...
We saw a really cute white furry dog on the road, and my sisters and I started gushing about it...

Then it stopped right in front of us, and...

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Starting shitting in front of us!!

And look what I got yesterday!!! :)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

A new handphone!!!

And not just any new mobile phone, but the one I have been salivating after for ages!

My dad was super romantic, he called me while he was at the shop, and told me that the pink model was out of stock, and whether I could settle for the brown model instead.

I was shrieking "NOOOO!!!" to him over the line, 'cause I wanted the pink one, nothing less.

Then, he came home, and pushed this box to me.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

To my horror, it was BROWN!

I just looked at him in horror, and started complaining, "DAD-deee, I don't want the brown one! I want the pink one!"
And he just told me sternly that he got me the brown one, and that's final.

So I opened my box sulkily.

And guess what I found!

Happy happy!

Anyway, I am off to chomp on some new year goodies (bakgua peanutcookies chickenflossspringrolls ngagu yummyliciouschicken-tastingcrisps nomoreconstipationnmandarinoranges).

After almost polishing off one Domino's thin crust chicken pepperoni pizza by myself, nyahaha.

Happy piggie year again! :)

Stupid sister took everyone's pics and distorted them.

We belong together.

Remember when we were young, we used to tell each other that if the other is a member of the opposite sex, we would have married each other?

And what about the time when we kissed each other on the lips because we were curious to know how a kiss felt like, and after that, we promised never to tell anyone?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You have been at my side for as long as I remembered.
The ugly red alien-looking thing that mommy brought back one day, I looked at you distastefully.

Little did I know that a couple of years down the road, the ugly baby has became my faithful partner in everything, whether it was Barbie-playing, masak-masak, stealing mommy's Famous Amos cookies and granny's Kickapoo, and now, shopping, gossiping, binging, camwhoring and clothes-sharing.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Murni moments.

I still remember crawling into your bed on nights that I got nightmares, much to your disgruntled snores.
And back then when we used to share a room, and we always talk till the wee hours, and cheekily making fun of grampies, who would at any minute crash into our room to order us to shut up and go to sleep.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

What about how we used to steal the sofa cushion seats from our old sofa, and made it our Barbies' home because daddy and mommy didn't want to buy us a proper house for our babies..?

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I've shared everything with you, my dreams, my fears, my crushes, my qualms, my pet peeves, everything.

And till this day, I still believe you know me best.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You amazed me that day in S'pore, when I got served kuay teow with sweet sauce and ketchup, and you offered me your chicken rice, whereas you had to wash off the noodles in soup so that it would be edible.
I asked you, "Why? You didn't have to do it!"
And you told me it's 'cause you know I don't like sweet sauce.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Something so minor and insignificant, and I highly doubt anyone would realize, but yet you did.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You know how I like to eat my foods, for example, when I finish my egg yolk, it usually means I am going to end my meal; you know about my hygiene obsession, you even know how I will react to certain things.

And let's not start on shopping.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I still fear the day it comes when we can't do our shopping together anymore, because sure as hell, we will buy the exact same things! So many times, we went out on separate shopping trips, came back and gushed to each other the things we like, and in the end, we find out that we actually eyed the exact same things.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I love it that we share clothes-- it's a known fact to both of us that with our wardrobes combined, we are invincible. That is why when I left for Melbourne, you were depressed not only for my departure, but also my clothes'.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You call me Bebuli, for some strange reason, which evades me till now, until I am just known as "Boo" to you. Every sms you send to me starts with a "Boo!!!". And we will sing Alicia Key's and Usher's "My Boo" loudly in the car when it comes on, 'cause it's my song.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

We always talk about how we are the best sisters in the world, in terms of how we click, and how much we complement each other. It's a known fact, isn't it? :) So many friends of you and I have came up to us and told us that they envy the bond that we share.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Sometimes, I feel like you are me, and me, you; for that's how alike we are. At least, in quite a number of aspects. Up till 2 months ago whereby you cut your hair, we still have people claiming that we are twins!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

In fact, we always joke that we must never let each other's boyfriend get too close to the other, for we are so similar-- what if our boyfriends fall for the other one instead!?? ;)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You were the one who sent me a long sms when I left for Melbourne, telling me that you were sitting on the armchair in my room, and crying alone. I cried and weeped when I saw that message. That sms is gone now, along with the handphone that I lost. But the sentiments remained.

I can't live without you.

I was lying in bed last night, and I just imagined that someday, perhaps you or I have to migrate to another country, and we will be separated, and I started tearing. 'Cause I would lose a best friend, and so much more.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

You are beyond a sister to me, more than a friend, and always a soulmate. Can we please still be sisters in our next life? And the one after that? And the one after that one? And many many many more after that? :)

Happy 18th birthday, sweetiepie.
Buli loves you.
